It is now the slow season in Jin Thorpe, most of the businesses have the most limited hours this time of year. Often times only open on Friday Saturday and maybe Sunday. There may be a chance that they will be open but I would plan around it
I was so looking forward to eating here when we visited Jim Thorpe. I was terribly disappointed. It was the first place we went as soon as we arrived in the town and we didn't stay long after we were done. The waitress was very nice but seemed flustered and stressed out. She was practically running from the tables to the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best and way too expensive for what you get. They served plain tortilla chips as a side with nothing to dip them in. They kids meal didn't come with a side at all. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable and since we waited for our food to arrive for over an hour they got more uncomfortable the longer we sat there. Every tiny movement i made I thought the chair was going to break into pieces beneath me. I loved the idea of an alice in wonderland themed restaurant but this was not done right. The decor was tacky and old and dusty. It made it look creepy.
Ewww disgusting, gross. Horrible service, everything was rotten.
Grilled cheese is excellent. Chicken dumpling soup is delicious! Build your own burger very tasty! 1st time here. Will definitly be back next time we visit!
It is clear that this place is understaffed and not managed properly. There is no attention to detail. Our orders were wrong repeatedly during our visit. Service took way too long. The decor while whimsical is sorely in need of dusting and the chairs are downright dangerous. My husband almost upended his while shifting in his seat. They were out of numerous menu items. Like I said - poorly managed. We ordered a sandwich specifically with mushrooms and onions and got one with onions and peppers. What if there was a food allergy? And that was only one item they got wrong - there were several.
The food wasnt the best, the people working there were also rude. i dont recommend!!
OMG! Awsome food!
Whole place smelled of rotting meat. Workers did not tell us why.
We stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday to find only two other tables occupied. We were seated quickly and the service throughout the entire meal was excellent. The Alice in Wonderland theme is kitschy and eclectic. I’m not sure what’s up with the giant TV showing drone and satellite footage of the earth. The images were pleasant but it really distracted from the restaurant’s decor. My focaccia sandwich was tasty (grilled chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and other veggies). The focaccia is homemade.
Moved from North Texas to the area a few years back. I ordered a Po boy and felt like I was back south. Amazing. Owners were great as well and highly recommend.
This place is very understaffed and poorly managed. Our food took about an hour to get out while there was only about 3 parties of people. We were thinking of opening the beef jerky we bought it took so long. The decor is pretty cluttered and dusty and the chairs are super uncomfortable and feel like they'll break at any time. When our food did come out it tasted alright, nothing fantastic. There was only one waiter and she seemed extremely stressed, but she did apologize for the wait and took out the price of our drinks. Overall this place isn't worth going to and there are better restaurants in the area.
I'd give this place 11 stars if I could. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was awesome.
Little cozy place to eat! Alice in wonderland themed. Staff was friendly and very nice portions. Felt like home!
Randomly decided to pop in here for a ladies lunch and ended up having one of the best pizzas I ever had. Service was a bit slow but the food is worth the wait. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
Great food. Good service. Friendly people and a clean environment. a great place to sit and relax and watch the world go by in Jim Thorpe.
Last Friday my family and I when for a walk for the first time on Broadway st. We ordered a Cheese and chicken pizza and it was delicious!! will definitely stop again.
Food took a while to come out but it was delicious with fresh ingredients. It was obvious that time and care went into the preparation. BYOB, we'd definitely visit again.
I have to say I've never experienced anything like this, while we were at the restaurant the redheaded server was extremely agitated with another employee and while the other employee was in the restroom the redheaded server deployed a taser right outside the restroom door. I know this because I was seated near that location. I attempted to call the restaurant and ended up having to leave a voicemail and have contacted the police department concerning this issue. Needless to say we paid our bill and left immediately because I did not feel safe around that individual. It's extremely unfortunate because the restaurant is quaint and Jim Thorpe overall is a great place to visit but my last memory is going to be of this situation.
LOVE this place. The FOOD! Super cute atmosphere etc.. but the food is MAD fresh!! Good size servings, priced well, real foods, cooked perfectly. So good.. eat here.
The food had bugs in it, the workers didnt really care
The food is a good price and very delicious! they have gluten free bread and pasta substitutes just have to ask. Staff is very friendly and helpful and restaurant is very beautifully decorated and nice ambiance! Will definitely be going back here again soon!!
First we waited for our food for 2 hours. The waiter kept apologizing. Then our food was brought, but not prepared correctly (my daughter is a celiac, I asked for GF, but the cook forgot). The owner did not even come out to apologize. Cute interior, nice menu, great piano player, fully disorganized. Would never go again.
Always love eating here. Very friendly folks too. Thanks again.
Good food. Reasonable prices. Small but nice environment. Kaitlin offered great service.
The uncomfortable chairs are small and unforgiving on the uneven floor. Our meals took about 45 minutes to prepare. One of our meals was a grilled cheese, the bread was well done and very hard! The waitress never said anything about it taking so long to get our meal. We were served just as we were about to leave. They took the drinks off our bill, that saved us an entire $8! There are better places in that area to eat, avoid at all costs! Looks nice on the outside, just walk away folks, nothing to see here, walk away!
Excellent food and wonderful wait staff with a fun and funky ambience. We loved it and so did the kids!
Food was very good. Everything fresh. Waiter was friendly.
Great food and ambiance. Cute little place. I would definitely come back and the service was great.
i waited 45 minutes to receive some microwaved soup. when i complained i was brushed off as my family and i didn’t even receive the rest of our order. we only paid for the soup and wanted to leave. we refused to wait.one staff member with long, greasy black hair was our server. she gave us attitude the whole time. she even had the audacity to try to sneakily add tip onto the soup that we received. disgusting restaurant and tacky decor. food is inedible. the staff remind me of people that got pregnant outside of highschool. disgusting.
Food was good but wait time was too long for lunch hour.
Loved the atmosphere! The homemade bread and crab soup was delicious! Will definitely return
Enjoyed the place so much, salmon was very tender and delicious, they also served the salad for the dish, so fresh and tasty. Recommend!!
The catfish Po'boy was fantastic! Service was on the slower side. Very cute place though.
Cute little spot. We recently spent the day in Jim Thorpe and stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. It was a cold day so the hot apple cider and soups were very satisfying. They have a good menu and the food and service were both good.
Such a cute place! Our waiter was very nice. Igot grilled cheese with bacon with sweet fries and it was amazing. My cousin got the catfish po boy and did not put the sandwich down once. My boyfriend got chicken wings and they were great(were from buffalo and most wings don’t even compare.) Glad we stopped here!!
Fun niche coffee house with good breakfast and good service.
Great little place with excellent pizza!! Went for a paint your glass off event and had an awesome time!!
Coffee was only warm; forgot potatoes that came with the meal-twice; served sausage instead of bacon-all this and there were only three tables including us. Server was lovely.
We came to this place in hopes to have a nice early morning breakfast. Was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service. We went with a group of friends they bought out 3 of the 4 plates out, one of our friend had to watch us eat for 45 min because they forgot to make his food. No remorse either the owner didn't offer to do anything
Grab a bottle of wine and walk into an 'Alice In Wonderland' setup. A little Quirky & cosy, this place is a perfect way to spend an afternoon in JT, especially if you have lots of time to spare. Your order will take a while but it's worth the wait. BYOB.
Farm to Table for good prices and friendly service. Their specialty is their homemade ciabatta bread. The pizzas here are HUGE and great for sharing with a signature bagel-like crust and the decor is adorable. It can feel a bit crowded.
Felt so sorry for the lone, completely overwhelmed server. Obvious staffing issues in front and back of the house on a holiday weekend. We waited an hour for food, which was ok but could have been warmer.
Service was SUPER slow and food was ok. There were 3 servers and each was running around very frantic and frustrated. We waited a LONG time for food especially considering it wasnt crazy busy and they have a limited menu. The theme was cute but the experience was not worth anywhere close to what we paid. I had chosen this place from google maps and was excited to check it out but I am sad to report I was very disappointed.
A very interesting menu, nice atmosphere. Fresh food with good flavor.
This cute BYOB spot is great for lunch. Our food took a while, but the staff was so great and the food was delicious. The pizza is made on a super thick crust..almost like a bagel or focaccia bread. Definitely not traditional pizza. The shrimp and crab fondue appetizer is to die for..oh my so good.
Cozy place, food is greatttt
cool Alice in wonderland themed place for a quick bite, good food
The food was decent but the service was terrible. It took them almost an hour to come out with my French toast and scrambled eggs that takes 5 mins to make. The lady made an excuse that her daughter dropped it but still took forever to come out. In addition, a table across from me ordered after me and still got their food first. Terrible service do yourself a favor and don't come here. Their coffee sucks and stay away.
